Terms of use
The logo, the monogram and the portrait may be used free of charge for editorial reporting about Daumedia. The rules for the logo come from Daumedia's brand guidelines.
Allowed
- Editorial reporting about Daumedia — free of charge and without asking first.
- Scaling up or down in proportion, with clear space on every side of at least the height of the letter “D” in the wordmark.
- Brand colours: violet #7C3AED, indigo #4F46E5 and teal #22D3EE. The signature gradient runs from violet at the top left through indigo to teal at the bottom right (CSS: linear-gradient(135deg, …)) and is never reversed. For one-colour printing the logo may be reproduced in solid black, solid white or greyscale.
- The logo as supplied, on calm light or dark grounds, from 120 px wide; below that, the monogram, from 24 px tall.
Not allowed
- Distorting, rotating or cropping the logo, or adding shadows, outlines, glow or other effects.
- Recolouring outside the brand palette (except for the one-colour printing allowed above), reversing the gradient, or placing the logo in a white box or on a busy or low-contrast ground.
- Re-setting the wordmark in another typeface, rearranging monogram and wordmark, or misspelling the brand name in running text — it is “Daumedia”, not “DauMedia”, “Dau Media” or “DM”.
- Any use that suggests a partnership with Daumedia, an endorsement by Daumedia or its involvement.

Founder & Developer
Michael Ferreira is a programmer and photographer in Luxembourg and the founder of Daumedia. He designs and builds websites, platforms and apps himself, from the first sketch to the launch, and makes his own apps for the iPhone and the Mac. “Daum” is Luxembourgish for thumb, and the name is meant literally: he works with a single thumb, having lived with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA2) since birth.
