Mika+MediaFetch

Know what you are getting before it downloads.

Coming soon Website

Know what you are getting before it downloads. Most downloaders fetch first and let you discover afterwards what they gave you. Mika+MediaFetch reads what a site offers, puts it in front of you — resolution, codec, bitrate, size — and starts only once you have chosen. You bring: A link to something you are allowed to keep. Paste it, drag it, share it from the browser, or let the app pick it up from the clipboard. The app adds: The format table, a queue that runs up to eight at once, muxing of separate video and audio tracks, a searchable history, and errors written in sentences. It never does: Break copy protection, ask for an account, phone home, or contact a licence server. There is no telemetry in the app and none on the page.

Features

  • The format table: resolution, codec, bitrate and size, before anything starts.
  • A queue that runs up to eight downloads at once.
  • Muxing of separate video and audio tracks — with no FFmpeg of your own.
  • A searchable history.
  • Errors written in sentences, not as codes.
